Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of Mustaqeem: Salah & Deen (“Mustaqeem”, “the app”), provided by DuaGo Studios Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16511810, with its registered office as shown on Companies House for company 16511810. By using the app you agree to these terms. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

1. What Mustaqeem is

Mustaqeem helps you keep up your daily worship: prayer times and reminders, a salah log, the Qibla, adhkar, the tasbih, the Quran and related features. It is a tool to support your practice, not a replacement for learning from people of knowledge.

2. Religious content

Every ayah, hadith and dua in the app shows where it comes from, so you can check it yourself. Nothing in the app is a fatwa. For questions about your own situation, ask a scholar you trust.

3. Prayer times and dates

Prayer times are calculated from your location and the methods you choose, and may differ by a few minutes from your local masjid's timetable. Where they differ, follow your masjid. Islamic dates such as the start of Ramadan and Eid depend on moon sighting and are shown as expected until confirmed.

4. Lock In and the Fajr alarm

Lock In pauses the apps you choose using Apple's Screen Time and can be switched off at any time, including in iOS Settings › Screen Time. It never blocks phone calls or emergency services. Alarms and reminders depend on your phone's settings, battery and iOS version. We take care to make them reliable, but we can't guarantee they'll work in every circumstance.

5. Mustaqeem Premium

Some features, such as Lock In and the Fajr alarm, are part of Mustaqeem Premium and are labelled as Premium in the app. The Qibla, the tasbih, adhkar, duas and Quran recitation are always free.

  • Plans. Premium is a subscription, weekly or yearly (including a Family plan shared through Apple Family Sharing). Yearly plans may start with a free week where offered; the app shows the price and any free period before you confirm.
  • Payment. Payment is taken through your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free week ends.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same length and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you cancel during a free week, you won't be charged.
  • Managing and cancelling. In iOS Settings › your name (Apple ID) › Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Restoring. If you change phone, use Me › Subscription › Restore purchases, or Restore on the Premium screen.

6. Gifts

You can buy a year of Mustaqeem Premium as a gift. It is a one-off purchase, not a subscription, and it doesn't give Premium to the buyer. Each gift is a single-use code that the recipient redeems in the app (through the gift link, or in Me › Redeem a gift). Codes don't expire. If the recipient already has Premium, the year is added to it. A refunded gift's code stops working. Gift messages must follow the rules in section 7, and we may remove a message that doesn't.

7. The Ummah tab

The Ummah tab is optional and needs Sign in with Apple and your consent. Posting a dua request requires you to confirm you're 18 or over. When you use it:

  • no hate, harassment or sectarian abuse;
  • no misinformation about Islam;
  • nothing sexual or otherwise inappropriate;
  • no spam, advertising or scams;
  • no names, contact details or other personal details of anyone else;
  • nothing unlawful.

Notes are checked automatically and read by a person before anyone else sees them. You can report any request and block anyone; reports are reviewed by a person. We remove content that breaks these rules, and we may suspend or ban users who are abusive or break them repeatedly. If you disagree with a decision, email us and a person will look at it again.

8. Using the app

Use the app lawfully and for your own personal, non-commercial use. Don't copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app or our servers, or try to get around Premium or the community's safety features.

9. Our content

The app's design, text, artwork and characters, including the companions, belong to us or our licensors. The Quran text, translations, recitations and other sources are credited in the app under Me › Sources, privacy and terms.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses, or for anything caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms. If a change significantly affects you, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it (remember to cancel any subscription through Apple). We may suspend access to the Ummah tab if you break these terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep any rights your local consumer law gives you, including the right to bring a claim where you live.
